Beautifying the School Garden
The PTO volunteers our time to develop the beautiful school garden. LP Brown students can then enjoy the garden and extend their learning outdoors as part of their Garden Club.
Building Community
We fund and organize events for students and their families including the Fall Festival and Spring After Hours Recess. These events build community and a sense of place.
Making Spirit Wear Affordable
Buying branded Spirit Wear can be too expensive for many families. Our PTO found a solution - we add the LP Brown logo on clothing families bring to school events. That way, everyone can participate in creating school spirit and show their pride!
Providing Critical Supplies

The school's budget does not cover everything our teachers and staff need to ensure our children have the educational experience they deserve. Our funds reimburse staff and teachers for out-of-pocket expenses.
Experiencing Live Theater
We organize volunteers and pay for transportation to the Washington Center for the Performing Arts so all students can experience live theater brought to us by the Olympia Junior Program.
Participating in Field Trips
Field trips are always much looked forward to events for our children, but transportation can be a barrier. When the School District cannot pay for transportation for field trips, our PTO funds are used to cover the financial gap.
Creating the Yearbook
The PTO produces the annual L.P. Brown Elementary School yearbook so that all of our children have a reminder of what made elementary school so special.
Appreciating our Staff & Teachers
Our teachers and staff do so much for our kids! Monthly, we organize staff appreciation events to give gratitude to all of our school staff for giving so much to our children.
